RANA DAGGUBATI REVEALS HIS FAVOURITE NIGHT SPOT, LOVE FOR HYDERABADI CUISINE, AND MORE IN THIS EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
Rana Daggubati has become one of Indian cinema’s most memorable villains with his epic portrayal of Bhalladeva in SS Rajamouli’s historical action drama fantasy series, Baahubali: The Beginning, and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Moreover, this multifaceted actor also floored the audiences this year by playing the role of a purpose-driven navy officer in The Ghazi Attack. But very few know that besides working in the film industry, he is also an entrepreneur and AR and tech enthusiast.

Earlier in an interview with LiveInStyle, he discussed his humble beginnings: “Before I became an actor, I was into visual effects for about 7 years, during the span of which I did over 80 films. After becoming an actor I was obviously keen to use technology to tell a better story in a film. So now we use augmented reality for promoting stuff.”
On his transition to Hindi films (in particular) he added, “I firmly believe that stories can travel and that’s pretty much what happened today. Seven years later, I’m happily sitting here today and can say that I have had terrific releases this year such as Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and The Ghazi Attack, films that were originally made in Hyderabad, but became national products. Likewise, I have a bunch of them next year”.

In a fun interview with us, Rana Daggubati spoke about his favourite party places, his favourite cuisine, and more. Take a look.
What’s your idea of a great party at home?
With lots of great food, lots of alcohol and that’s pretty much it. The company will already be fine by then (laughs).

What is your favourite night spot?
Well because I travel so much, I am all over the place most of the time, I would say my ideal night spot is home. Staying at home in the night is the best thing, according to me. I’m an insomniac (laughs), I love watching films at home in my spare time.
Which city, according to you, has the best nightlife in the country (or even across the globe)?
I think New York, when it comes to nightlife. In India, from a party point of view, I believe it is Goa.

Do you enjoy cooking?
I enjoy eating. And my favourite would always be Hyderabadi cuisine.
What does Rana Daggubati do on lazy Saturdays/Sundays?
I watch a lot of films, read books and indulge in a lot of food.
