2 Women Killed in Similar Fashions Within 36 Hrs in Assam Trains

Two women were reportedly found dead in two different toilets of two different trains taking the same railway route in Assam, within a span of 36 hours. The Hindustan Times reports that the police have found similarities in the manner in which both the women were killed.
While one of the victims was a 21-year-old student of the Assam Agricultural University, who was found on the New Tinsukia-Rangiya Express, the other was a 48-year-old woman, who was found on the Awadh-Assam Express at Jorhat’s Mariani Junction.

13 Amarnath Pilgrims Injured in J&K

13 Amarnath pilgrims travelling in a mini-bus were injured, as it rammed straight into a parked truck near Birma Bridge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur. The driver, reportedly, escaped from the spot.

Girl Allegedly Molested Within School Premises

A girl student in Bihar’s Kaimur alleged that she was molested by a drunk man inside her school’s premises, saying that he had first grabbed her, dragged her outside and asked her to stop going to school. She added that he even pointed the gun at her teachers and threatened them as well.

Three Students Drowned During School Hours in Hardoi

Three students reportedly drowned in a pond, during school hours, in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardoi on Tuesday, 10 July. Staging a protest keeping the victims’ bodies within the school premises on Wednesday, 11 July, the families accused the teachers of the school of negligence. An FIR was later registered against the school principal and the concerned teachers.
